Beach Resort Nieuwvliet-Bad is a beautiful place to unwind and reconnect with nature. The beach resort stands out thanks its proximity to one of the most stunning, wide sandy beaches in The Netherlands: Nieuwvliet. A walking path takes you directly from the beach resort, through the stunning nature of the Verdronken Zwarte Polfder to the beach where sunbathing, building sandcastles, having lunch at one of the beach clubs and taking long walks await. The tranquility of the beach is represented at the holiday park with beach cottages and holiday homes scattered amongst the dunes. And the central building reoresenting a beach club where you can just relax.

The accommodation at Beach Resort Nieuwvliet-Bad gives you that ultimate beach holiday feeling as most accomodation is acettered between te dunes, most vegetation is native to this particular area of Zeeland and everything seems to just blend in, naturally. The holiday park feautures beach houses (which I adore) and thatched-roofed cottages intended for groups of different sizes and ages.

I absolutely loved staying in one of the beach houses of Roompot Beach Resort Nieuwvliet-Bad. The stylish, modern beach houses are built in the dunes and and are celeverly pitched, so you have all the privacy in the world. We stayed here during our Chistmas break and it was actually a great time to visit. With the heater it was lovely just sitting in the deck with a cup of coffee enjoying the sea breeze. The beach houses are equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay, with proabaly the best-appointed kitchen I’ve ever seen in a holiday home. The living room and bedrooms are cosy, comfortable and have everything you need. It’s also allowed to have a barbecue or light a fire pit, which you can rent at the central desk, on your own deck.
Cottages of Beach Resort Nieuwvliet-Bad
Since the beach houses only sleep up to four people, you may have to chose one of the lovely cottages available on the holiday park. There is a lot of variety in size and style, so I really think there is accommodation that suits your style and needs. You can either stay in the boutique tiny houses, lodges, bungalows and thatched-roofed villas slepping two to ten people, with special accommodation for the less able bodies and families traveling with small children. All cottages are detached and are tastefully decorated, featuring a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living area, and spacious bedrooms. Some cottages even include a private sauna.
Facilities at Beach Resort Nieuwvliet-Bad
Beach Resort Nieuwvliet-Bad prides itself on offering a wide range of facilities. The holiday park has everything you need when travelling with children, your entire family of if you just feel like connecting with nature and going for some amazing walks or bike rides. You can ask for a map with hiking routes and bicycle routes at the central desk and bikes and e-bikes for all ages are available for rent.
For the kids the amazing swimming pool, with three adveture slides and a spray park, is the highlight of the holiday park. The simming pool opens from 10 am until 8 pm, offering a special workout hour for adults between 9 am and 10 am. Kids can also enjoy the indoor play ground, various outdoor play grounds and the kids club, which offers everything from crafts, games to a mini-disco.
The beach resort’s on-site is a real highlight, offering a menu featuring a mix of local and international cuisine. Fresh seafood, sourced directly from the nearby waters, is a specialty, ensuring that every meal is a culinary delight. The restaurant’s terrace provides a lovely setting for al fresco dining or a drink while enjoying the sunshine. If you’d rather dine in, there are various options for take-away food.

Enjoy Nieuwvliet beach
A direct walkway takes you from the holiday park to the beach. Nieuwvliet beach is wide and sandy and is extremely child-friendly. There are long poles with figures from Miffy, whcih helps small children with their orientation. Close to the beach clubs there are also toilets and cold water showers for rinsing off. Nieuwvliet beach is cleaned daily and lifeguards are daily present.
Verdronken Zwarte Polder
To get to the beach from the holiday park you will have to cross a spectacular natural area, called Verdronken Zwarte Polder. A very special landscape where the sea flows in and out, resulting in a diversity of landscapes, such mud flats, salt marshes and dunes and a huge variety of plant and animal life. I absolutely recommend walking or cycling in Verdronken Zwarte Polder.
Beach Clubs
After a long walk on the beach or during a day at the beach, you can visit two very nice beach clubs on Nieuwvliet beach: Woest 17 and Strandpaviljoen 19. Sit down on the terraces for an ice cream, a refreshing drink or an extensive lunch or dinner.
Zwin Nature Park
Nature enthusiasts will love Zwin Nature Park, a beautiful coastal reserve that straddles the Dutch-Belgian border. The park is home to a variety of bird species and features scenic walking trails and observation points. It’s an excellent spot for bird watching and collecting fossils and shark’s teeth.
Sluis
Sluis is one of the most beautiful villages in The Netherlands, tucked against the Belgian border and only a 10-minute drive from the holiday park. Sluis offers a charming mix of culture and history. With its medieval architecture, quaint shops, and delightful cafes, Sluis is a perfect stop for a morning or an afternoon. Beach Resort Nieuwvliet-Bad is located so close to the Belgian border, Bruges is just a 35-minute drive away, you’d be mad not to take a day trip.
